A Targeted Approach Limited is an independent recruitment delivery consultancy led by Sacha Burgess. I work as an extension of in-house recruitment and people teams across multiple sectors, including medical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, health-tech, med-tech, diagnostics, clinical research, advanced manufacturing, FMCG, professional services, and accountancy and finance, supporting organisations with complex and business-critical hiring.

I am typically engaged where internal recruitment capability needs to be strengthened — whether to deliver senior or specialist hires, manage sensitive or high-impact searches, or provide additional delivery capacity without introducing agency dependency. My role is to integrate quickly, align to internal processes, and deliver against clearly defined hiring priorities.

My work focuses on the end-to-end delivery of recruitment assignments, particularly across operations, supply chain, quality, regulatory environments, legal, HR, corporate affairs, accountancy, finance and other business-critical functions. These are hires where structured market mapping, disciplined candidate engagement and rigorous assessment materially improve outcomes.

All assignments are delivered personally. I work directly with hiring managers, people leaders and internal stakeholders, taking responsibility for briefing, global market research, candidate identification and engagement, assessment, stakeholder communication and offer support. Clients work with me as they would a senior internal recruiter, with full visibility, continuity and clear accountability throughout.

With over a decade of experience delivering global recruitment projects — including international and multi-jurisdictional hiring — retained search and embedded delivery programmes, I bring a calm, methodical and transparent approach to delivery. The objective is simple: strengthen internal recruitment capability, deliver high-quality hires, and operate as a trusted extension of the organisation rather than an external supplier.
